Top British Trombonist Chris
Smith has performed in all the major TV and
recording
studios.
Chris has toured with
Frank Sinatra on many occasions,
including his world tour – “The Ultimate
Event”.
During his outstanding
professional career, Chris has appeared
with Tony Bennett, Liza Minnelli, Barbra
Streisand plus many international Super
Stars.
As a young musician,
Chris was a featured member of the John
Dankworth Orchestra and later performed
with the great Ted Heath Band until Ted’s
retirement.

Still only 27 years of
age, Chris was by now one of the busiest
trombone players in the recording
studios. Soon he was to join the prolific
Jack Parnell TV Orchestra where he
remained for over 15 years, taking part
in all the major TV shows at ATV,
Borehamwood Studios, plus many Royal
Command Performances at the London
Palladium.

During this busy period each year for 5 years,
Chris played for the Michael Aspel show at LWT,
where he met and performed with such famous
celebrities as Kirk Douglas, Elizabeth Taylor,
Mel Brooks, Tony Curtis, Oliver Reed, George
Segal, Mel Gibson and even Margaret
Thatcher!!!
As a session musician, Chris can now be heard
on hundreds of today’s pop
recordings.
His extensive work with Frank Sinatra and so
many international stars coupled with his more
intimate performances at venues, occasions and
events up and down the country has lead to
Chris the trombonist and Chris the band leader
becoming renowned for both his professionalism
and his musical flair.
